Dumbledore Quote

In Harry Potter, Dumbledore was very wise and had many great quotes. One Dumbledore quote that resonates with me is “We must all face the choice between what is right and what is easy.” This quote means that when you’re faced with a tough decisions you can go the easy way or go the hard way and have better rewards in the end. This quote relates in my life because whenever I am faced with a tough decisions I sometimes lead to the easy route and regret later. For example, my parents told me to stretch and eat bananas the night before a tournament. I didn’t listen and the next day I cramped and had to retire from my match. I wasn’t angry in myself, I was disappointed. Now everyone before a tournament I remember to stretch and eat lots of bananas. It may sound a bit funny but it works for me to not cramp in a tournament. This quote that Dumbledore said also helps me inside of school. A way to show this is when I am doing a test and there is a question that doesn’t say show your work. The easy way is just to put the answer but the hard way with more rewards would be showing your work because it could help you in next questions or give you more points. In conclusion, this quote that Dumbledore said helps my life a lot outside of school and inside of school.

My Hero

Somebody I look up to as my hero is my father. My father is my hero because he is really kind, takes care of our family with no excuses, and he always makes time for us even when he has a lot of work. My father is really kind because whenever we see someone we know my father always has to have a conversation with them. Sometimes it’s good and sometimes it’s bad. He is really easy to talk to in person. Also, another reason my father is really kind is he always does everything we ask of him even if he doesn’t want to. For example, if I asked him to play games with me he would play with me and if he couldn’t he would promise too tomorrow. My father takes care of my family because he always insists on cooking and makes great food. Furthermore, even though my mom works too my dad works really hard on his work and works really hard to take care of us too. Thirdly, my father always makes time for us. Most of the weekends I have a tennis tournament and my father always is the one to drive me there, watch me, feed me, and drive me back. He never complaints when doing this. Also, when my mom, sister, and me are on our electronics. My father always brings us to the living room to watch a movie together. He always picks the right movies to watch. All in all, my father is the best father I could possibly ask for and could never ask for a better one.

Creativeness

This year I am going to focus on the word Creativeness. Creativeness means the skill and imagination to develop or create new things. I want to work on Creativeness this year because of how much it will help me write and read. Creativeness would help me write because when you sit down, you have a topic in my mind. Secondly, Creativeness would help me keep on writing more descriptive and juicer writing pieces. This is because I want to be able to keep writing on and on and keep my reader engaged. Speaking of readers, Creativeness would help me read because it would help me have more thoughts in my head and pictures to help me understand what I’m reading. Also, Creativeness would help me read more harder and challenging books. Furthermore, this is because when a reader gets stumped on a challenging word, having better creativeness would help you have many ideas what could that word be and narrow it down to that definition. In conclusion, my 2024 word that I am working on is Creativeness because of how much it will help my reading and writing skills.

Rad Reading-December

In December, I read the 4th book in the series’s Lorien Legacy, The Fall of 5 by Piticus Lore. The Fall of 5 is a science fiction book about a group of nine aliens who come to earth to save their dying planet Lorien and have to defend themselves against Mogodorians who are disguised as humans on earth. The aliens have been learning their powers or legacies as they have been growing. Now, all aliens are ready to find each other. Eight of them found each other, but one is missing. They need to find him before they attack Setrákus Ra the Mogodorian leader. As they search for the last remaining alien they discovered something different about him.

I enjoyed this book because of the twists and turns in the story. The author did a great job making me second thought everything I would think. Throughout the story, some of the characters turned on each other which made me keep wanting to read the book. All in all, I believe this is my favorite book in the series.

Sam Good was my favorite character in this book because he would always try to help anyway he could even if he didn’t have any powers like the aliens. Sam Good was one of the aliens best friend and even though he was a human he would fight and had the spirit of a Lorien alien. A quote to show this is “The question, then, is how do we stop the nightmares?” Malcolm asks. “I’ve got a solution,” Sam says, and everyone looks in his direction. He takes a considering sip from a mug of coffee. “Let’s go kill Setrákus Ra.” This shows Sam is willing to do anything to help his alien friends and talks like one.

My favorite quote from the story is when Marina or number seven of the aliens said “There’s no set futures, only the one we make.” This was after Marina healed number eight even though the prophecy was him dying to a sword. I liked this quote because it shows that you are in control with your life and if you don’t take initiative then you aren’t really living the best possible way you could live your life.
